PAM ORFANOS
Co-Owner | Master Hair Colorist
Pam collaborates with her clients to craft some of the best hair color in Chicago. An expert in color theory and formulation, she has studied a wide variety of brands and techniques. Since co-founding Trianon Salon in 2007, Pam has worked exclusively with Davines color, a sustainable line of Italian products that consistently produces superior results in color vibrancy, luster, and longevity.
​
Even before co-founding Trianon, Pam worked for decades as a master of precision foil placement for highlighting and specialty color. She was the color director for Art & Science Salons, where she trained a generation of young colorists in precision color technique and theory.
​
Pam’s mission is always to create stunning, easy-to-care-for hair that leaves clients glowing. Key to her success is fostering relationships with each client, building trust and having fun at the same time – a skill she teaches all of the salon’s apprentices.
​
Outside of the salon, Pam loves to spend time playing with her puppies, boating, and enjoying the beaches of her family’s hometown on the Greek island of Karpathos.

TARA JAMES
Co-Owner | Master Hair Colorist | Balayage Specialist
With a background in fashion design and a passion for aesthetics, Tara is uniquely qualified to provide complex hair color services for clients at Trianon. Since 2009, she has offered our clients Balayage, a highly customizable French technique that creates elevated natural hair color. Nuanced or bold, Balayage can give clients sun-kissed results.
​
Tara not only keeps up with hair trends, but also continually refines her training in a wide variety of techniques including foil highlighting, creative foil placement and gray coverage. She trains every hair color apprentice at Trianon, and her own education includes a Balayage certification from L’Oréal Professional Academy in New York.
​
She is also a keratin treatment specialist, offering many brands and strengths of hair-smoothing treatments for frizzy and textured hair. Each client she collaborates with receives a customized plan appropriate for their texture and goals.
​
When Tara isn’t making her clients’ hair dreams come true, she loves to explore her relationship with nature. Her home boasts a large urban organic vegetable garden that yields produce for her experiments in the kitchen as well as edible, beauty and wellness products.

NICOLE CISTERNINO
Master Hair Stylist | Haircutting Education Director
Since 2000, Nicole has cultivated a flawless understanding of different hair shapes and techniques, crafting a technical approach to everything from short tapered fades to elaborate updos. She loves connecting with all kinds of people and specializes in helping people look and feel their best. For weddings, anniversaries and other special events, she offers both in-salon and on-location services.
​
Nicole comes by haircutting naturally – she’s one of three generations in her family to pursue the craft. While she has learned extensively from her grandfather and father (both expert Italian barbers) she also received classic training in precision haircutting techniques from the Vidal Sassoon Academy in Los Angeles.
​
Nicole is passionate about education and continues to train in specialties like razoring, in which she uses a straight razor to achieve softer, looser shapes that aren’t possible with a traditional shear. She not only oversees our haircutting department but is also our haircutting education director, crafting a cohesive curriculum for our stylists and apprentices. Nicole’s influence ensures our entire team has a strong foundation on which to build their own signature style.

As a working mom and avid swimmer, Nicole values balance, including spending time with family and friends and staying active.

ABBY DOUD
Hair Stylist
Abby loves cutting hair for people of all genders and ages, especially folks who crave short styles like pixies and bobs. She personally knows how challenging curly hair can be so she has honed her skills to create beautiful, easy-to-care-for curly styles. In fact, Abby is obsessed with helping people discover the perfect flattering, ultra-low maintenance style that gives them more time to spend having fun.

Abby has shared her unique sensibility with Trianon Salon for more than 10 years, and she continues to educate herself so she can share the latest trends, techniques and styles with her clientele. Outside of the salon, she pursues many creative interests–and is always up for a costume party.

KIM COLLINS
Hair Stylist
Kim has been making her clients feel even more gorgeous since 2008. She views client relationships as collaborations built on inspiration and trust, and loves creating dreamy results. Kim trained at Aveda Institute Chicago, as well as Arrojo Cosmetology School, where she trained under the school’s founder on specialized razor cutting techniques. By using a straight razor, Kim is able to create texture and remove bulk, weight and length for clients with a lot of hair. She can also create movement, texture, and a softer finish for folks with straight hair.
Kim is also passionate about hair extensions and loves the versatility of being able to add anything from a little more fullness to supermodel-level volume. She continually trains in new techniques and adds to her Bombshell Extension certification. She has expertise in the beaded weft method and K-Tips and works with only the best hair extension companies.
As an educator for Trianon Salon, Kim helps train our new talent to meet our stellar standards. When she’s not at the salon, Kim loves spending time with her husband and two sons, doing family workouts, knitting, and sewing apparel.

CALEB HERRON

Caleb has been creating beautiful hair for men and women since 2008. He fosters his clients’ curiosity about what’s possible, from precision-cut short hairstyles to long layers, and from soft natural color to bold statements.

His goal is to help a person’s outward appearance become an authentic expression of who they are inside. By going beyond trends to explore aesthetic, lifestyle and physical traits, Caleb collaborates with clients to customize a look that makes them feel confident and fulfilled. And he loves making their days a little bit brighter.
​
Caleb trained at Redken and studied advanced coloring techniques like Balayage at UNITE salon in San Diego. He continues to hone his skills, taking advanced Sassoon-based technique classes. He is an educator for Trianon Salon, ensuring our new talent learn to provide top quality service.

Caleb loves being stepfather to two cats, playing games with friends, and sharing his passion for cooking and baking with loved ones.

Chris joined the salon industry after a 10-year career in the United States Air Force, an experience he says exposed him to international style across more than a dozen countries. It’s no surprise then that he trained in both color and styling; he loves being able to serve a diverse clientele with a wide variety of services. After training at Paul Mitchell The School Chicago, he apprenticed at Trianon Salon for two years. Chris draws inspiration from the men, women and children he serves, creating on-trend and timeless styles.

SARAH KEOWN
Hair Colorist
Sarah’s fascination with hair coloring started in her teens, when she spent time watching a favorite neighbor transform her clients. Today, Sarah brings that same passion to her own clientele–she loves facilitating big change that makes them feel confident and gorgeous. Her favorite techniques include balayage and foiling, which she says give her creative freedom and lots of customization. Sarah apprenticed under owners Pam and Tara and has a passion for all things related to beauty.

JERICA WESTVELD
Hair Stylist
After training at Paul Mitchell The School Chicago, Jerica performed her two-year apprenticeship at Trianon Salon with a focus on precision haircutting, especially the classic French bob. She loves helping clients achieve big transformations and teaching them how to maintain their style at home, including recommendations for the best products, tools and techniques. The initial consultation with a client is often the most important part of Jerica’s process because no matter how big or small the change, she wants clients to feel joyful, confident and satisfied with their hair.
